Measuring objects in class

Emmanuel Tannor from a small village in Western Ghana applied contents of the workshop 2018 to his lessons: Instead of only written calculation of shapes and volumes of objects, he decided to let the pupils take all what they could find and measure hight, lenght, width.... A lot of fun and - sustainable learning!

Another teacher, Anthony Arley also used different bottles and objects to compare content and amount of fluids. Thus lessons become more interesting for the pupils, they may remember the results better and hopefully are motivated to deal with other topics from the syllabus. Using activating methods does not take away the efforts in learning but supports an an open mind!
